  • 1. Let’s talk about you.

    We’re sure you have a lot of questions, and we’ll have some too. Honestly though, we just want to get to know you better. That way we can make sure our vans best suit your needs.

  • 2. Reserve your spot.

    Think we’re a good fit for your van conversion? You’ll want to reserve a spot in our build queue. we request a deposit to ensure you’re ready to make this happen. Better hurry! We’re currently booking multiple 4-6 months in advance so jump in the queue quick!

  • 3. Get yourself a van!

    Do you own a van? If not we can happily offer suggestions and guide you through the purchase process. Our company works exclusively with dealerships throughout the tri-state area. If you purchase a van with in our network of dealers, they will deliver your van to our facility at no extra charge. We’ll be eagerly awaiting your van’s arrival! Oh yeah, if your van comes early, no problem! we are happy to store it until your build date. Don’t feel like hunting for a van? Periodically we purchase vans ready for up fit!   • 4. Time to finalize all the important details.

    Time to finalize your build plan! We’ll work with you to ensure your van is exactly what you envision it to be. We offer floor plans that work with all styles of high-top vans so we can build your dream lodgings in sprinters, pro masters, and transits of all sizes.

  • 5. Now we build.

    IT’S GO TIME! Once we have the van, we start working our magic. The build process takes time. We’ll need at least 7-8 weeks. However, the build time can increase depending on the complexity of the build. We’ll make sure to keep in touch and give you formal updates along with way with photos and video. Watching everything come together is one of the most rewarding parts of a camper conversion. Also, to prove that we’re not actually wizards. (Just kidding, we are wizards)

  • 6. The handoff

    After our strict quality control testing, it’s time to meet your new home on wheels!

    Upon delivery we encourage all of our customers to do a full orientation of their new van. In this orientation we will go over all the moving parts including any repairs and seasonal maintenance you might need to perform.

    Here on the Jersey Shore, there are tons of attractions to see and campgrounds to visit. We strongly encourage our customers to stay nearby for a few days as they get acclimated to van life while remaining close to our headquarters.

  • 7. Go somewhere!

    The world is yours, and of course the van. Pop open your refreshment of choice, and we’ll try to keep our emotions in check (There’s nothing wrong with a few happy tears though). We’d be happy to give you plenty of suggestions on where to go, but now the adventure is all up to you. Just be sure to tag us in some pics along the way!

  • The time it takes to complete a camper van conversion depends on the complexity of the project. Our standard floorpans can take anywhere from 7-8 weeks. A custom van conversion can take several months for engineering, design, and production.

  • The legal requirements for camper van conversions can vary by state country and region. Typically, you'll need to ensure that your conversion meets safety and registration standards for motor vehicles in your state.

  • In theory, most vans can be converted into camper vans, but for our team here at Sequoia and Salt, some vans are much more suitable than others. High-roof vans and extended wheelbase models often provide more space for conversion and better comfort.

  • Yes, Absolutely, our camper van conversions are designed to support off-grid camping, commonly referred to as "boondocking." We make sure your van is equipped with adequate power, freshwater supply, and a reliable waste management system to support extended off-grid stays.

  • Yes, many camper van owners choose to rent out their conversions when they are not using them, especially through platforms like peer-to-peer rental services! Reach out and we can tell you about some great sites we’ve used!

  • Absolutely! We can assist you in sourcing and installing camping accessories and gear to complement your camper van experience. From awnings and roof racks to camping equipment, our team can recommend and install the right accessories for your needs.

  • We have multiple means of sourcing a van for you.
