Van Bolt-On & Accessory Installation — Manasquan, NJ
Any van, any builder. Roof racks, gear boxes, tire carriers, bumpers, sliders, lift kits, light bars, awnings, fans and flares — installed right the first time by the shop that also engineers complete lithium power systems.
Why This Shop
Most places that mount a rack can't touch a wire. We're a full build shop — so we install it right, and we handle the electrical, power, and integration work parts installers can't.
What We Install
Bring your own parts or let us source them. Every job below runs through the same Manasquan bays.
Sequoia + Salt is an independent installation and build shop. We install parts from every major manufacturer and are not affiliated with the part brands listed above.
Install Quality
Racks come loose. Roofs leak. Lights blow fuses at midnight. Almost none of that is the part's fault — it's the install.
Every fastener goes on to the manufacturer's spec with the right backing plates and thread locker — not "snug and send it."
We build vans that live at the Jersey Shore. Every penetration gets marine-grade sealant and bedding, because salt air finds every shortcut.
Wires loomed and secured, hardware isolated, panels re-shimmed. You should hear the road, not your gear.
Mercedes eXpertUpfitter certified and Victron certified. Circuits we add get fused, labeled, and written down.
Since 2020 we've built 250+ vans ground-up and serviced over a thousand more across every chassis and every builder.
If something we installed works loose, leaks, or fails, bring it back. Our name is on the job, not just the invoice.
Redo & Repair
A big share of our bay time is undoing work someone else rushed. There's no judgment in it and no lecture — bring the van in, we'll tell you honestly what's wrong and what it takes to make it right.
In Our Bays
Beyond Bolt-Ons
A rack is a bolt. A 12V lithium system is engineering. We do both under one roof — which is why owners who came in for a light bar leave two years later with a full power system.
Lithium banks, 3000W inverters, alternator and solar charging, and monitoring you can actually read. Victron Certified.
12V air conditioners that run off the battery bank overnight instead of off a generator or shore power.
Roof solar sized to your loads, secondary alternators, and shore-power inlets integrated with the rack you already have.
Full rewires, panel rebuilds, diagnostics on someone else's wiring, and circuits documented so the next tech isn't guessing.
Diesel and hydronic heater installs and service — the work most parts shops refer out entirely.
And when the bolt-ons aren't enough anymore: ground-up builds, 250+ of them since 2020.
Before You Book
Yes. Bring them with the van or ship them to the shop ahead of your appointment. We'll confirm the part actually fits your chassis, year, and roof height before you're on the calendar — that one check catches most of the problems before they cost you a day.
All the time. Leaking roof penetrations, unfused accessory wiring, carriers mounted into bare sheet metal, lifts that never got aligned — it's a real share of our bay time. Send photos and we'll tell you what it takes to make it right before you drive out.
Most single bolt-ons are a same-day or next-day job: roof vent fans, ladders, awnings, dash cams, light bars. Roof racks and spare tire carriers typically run a day. Suspension, bumpers, tires and wheels, or flares run one to three days. Stacking several jobs into one visit is almost always faster than separate trips.
Any van, any builder. Sprinter, Transit, ProMaster, Metris — factory campers, other shops' conversions, DIY builds, and bare cargo vans. We've serviced over 1,000 vans, and most of them weren't ours.
Yes, and it's the real reason to come here. We're a full build shop and a Victron Certified installer — 12V lithium banks, inverters, solar, secondary alternators, DC air conditioning, and complete rewires. If your bolt-on needs a circuit, or you'll want a bigger system later, we size the install for it now.

Call (732) 357-3483 or send the request form with your van's year, chassis, roof height, and the parts you want installed. Photos help. Most install quotes come back within a couple of business days.
Tell us what you want on the van — or what someone else got wrong. We'll quote the install honestly and do it once.
