East Coast Overland Service Center — Manasquan, NJ
Revel, Storyteller, Terrain, Sanctuary, EKKO, Interstate — every AWD camper van, every system. Lithium power, suspension, tires, armor, connectivity. Installed on the East Coast instead of shipped across the country.
The Problem
The shops that specialize in overland camper upgrades are almost all out West. The dealers near you can only replace what's already there.
What We Work On
All years. AGM-to-lithium swaps, power system rebuilds, suspension, tires, armor, connectivity.
Sprinter-based MODE and Stealth. Power, suspension, exterior storage, climate.
Full systems service and upgrades on the Sprinter AWD platform.
Power upgrades, 12V climate conversions, suspension, and storage.
Lithium capacity, solar, heating upgrades, and four-season improvements.
Electrical modernization, connectivity, and service on every Interstate generation.
If it's a camper van, we service it. Every chassis — Sprinter, Transit, ProMaster.
Bought a build from another shop? Inherited a DIY? We fix, finish, and upgrade them all.
Sequoia + Salt is an independent service and upgrade shop. We are not affiliated with the manufacturers above — we're the shop their owners come to when the dealer says "we can only replace what's on it."
The Work
Everything below is installed in our Manasquan bays by the same techs who build our own vans.
AGM-to-lithium conversions, expanded battery banks, 3000W inverters, alternator charging, and real monitoring. Run your AC off-grid instead of off a generator.
Lift kits, upgraded shocks and struts, sway control. Fixes rear sag, crosswind wander, and washboard harshness on loaded Sprinters.
All-terrain fitments, wheel upgrades, spacers, and no-rub fender solutions for bigger rubber without the scrub.
Swap a 110V rooftop unit for a 12V AC that runs off the battery bank. Diesel and hydronic heater installs and service. The upgrade most dealers won't touch.
Skid plates, underbody armor, auxiliary and replacement fuel tanks, and onboard air for airing down at the trailhead.
Tire carriers, ladders, roof racks, gear boxes, bike and box carriers — built to carry real weight on real roads.
Starlink installs with clean roof penetrations, cell boosters, and network setups that actually work off-grid.
Prebuilt wall systems, cabinetry, and conversion kit installation. Water systems, plumbing repairs, and interior refits.
Water damage, failed systems, half-finished builds, and full modernizations of older campers.
Why Owners Drive Here
250+ ground-up conversions. The techs upgrading your camper engineer these systems from scratch every week.
A dealer replaces like-for-like. We'll tell you when a better system exists — and install it.
Electrical, plumbing, climate, structure, exterior. No bouncing between specialists.
Boston, NYC, Philly, DC, and the Carolinas are all a day's drive. Out West is not.
Questions Owners Ask
No — most of our service bays are filled with other builders' vans and mainstream campers. We've serviced over 1,000 vans across every major brand.
Usually, yes. That's the difference between a dealer and a build shop. A common example: replacing a failed 110V rooftop AC with a 12V unit that runs directly off an upgraded battery bank — quieter, more efficient, and it works off-grid.
Aftermarket upgrades generally don't void your chassis warranty, and out-of-warranty campers have nothing to lose. For campers still under coverage, we'll walk through what's covered by whom before any work starts.
Our service customers come from all over the East Coast — New England down through the Carolinas. Many schedule work around a trip through the Northeast.
Call (732) 357-3483 or send the request form with your van's year, model, and what you want to change. Most upgrade quotes come back within a couple of business days.
Tell us what's on your van and what you wish it did. We'll quote the upgrade, not the replacement.
