This Privacy Policy explains how Sequoia + Salt LLC ("Sequoia + Salt", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit www.sequoiasaltvans.com (the "Site") or contact us about a campervan build, service appointment, rental, commercial upfit, or any other inquiry. We've tried to write it in plain English. If something here is unclear, email us at hello@sequoiasalt.com and we'll do our best to explain.
Information You Give Us
When you fill out a contact form, request a quote, use the Build Calculator, schedule service, or otherwise reach out, you may share information such as your name, email address, phone number, location, vehicle make and model, build preferences, budget range, intended trip plans, and any other details you choose to include in your message.
You can browse most of the Site without giving us this information, but we won't be able to respond to inquiries or send quotes without at least an email address or phone number.
Information We Collect Automatically
When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically by our hosting provider and analytics tools:
- Server and access logs. Our host records standard request data — IP address, user agent, referring URL, the page requested, and a timestamp — for security, abuse prevention, and operational troubleshooting.
- Analytics events. Aggregated and pseudonymized usage data including which pages you view, how you arrived at the Site, approximate geographic region, device and browser type, and broad behavioral signals like time on page and scroll depth.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Small files set in your browser to remember preferences and to attribute analytics events across pages within a visit.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your inquiries and follow up on quotes, deposits, builds, and service work;
- Schedule consultations, shop visits, and delivery appointments;
- Send build status updates, invoices, and other transactional messages tied to your project;
- Send occasional marketing emails (only if you've opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time);
- Operate and improve the Site, including diagnosing errors, measuring page performance, and understanding which content is useful;
- Detect and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse; and
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
A small number of vendors process information on our behalf so we can run the Site and answer your messages. Each operates under its own privacy policy and is contractually limited to using the data to provide services to us.
- Netlify — hosts the Site and stores the server access logs described above.
- Netlify Forms — receives and stores submissions from contact forms, the Build Calculator, and similar forms on the Site.
- Google Analytics — provides aggregated usage analytics (measurement ID G-5Y5ZX2GHN4). Google may use this data subject to Google's privacy policy. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Email service providers — used to send transactional replies and, if you've opted in, occasional newsletters.
Cookies & Tracking
The Site uses cookies for analytics and basic site functionality. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you do, some parts of the Site may not work as intended, but you can still browse, read, and contact us.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep contact-form submissions and project records for as long as needed to provide our services and to comply with legal, accounting, and warranty obligations — typically the life of your build plus a reasonable records-retention period. Server logs are kept for a shorter operational window. Analytics data is retained per the defaults of the analytics provider.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- Request deletion of your information, subject to legal exceptions;
- Opt out of marketing emails at any time (use the unsubscribe link or email us); and
- Object to or restrict certain uses of your information.

Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Effective date" above. Material changes will be announced on this page.
