Scout × Mercedes Sprinter
Fixed rear bed and full gear garage on Mercedes Sprinter. The off-grid platform built for serious overland use.
Why This Combination
The Scout layout built on Mercedes Sprinter is our most-built combination. Customers who pick it tend to be serious adventurers — bikepackers, surfers, skiers, photographers — people who carry significant gear and want a rear garage that swallows it without sacrificing sleeping space.
The Sprinter chassis brings the platform's reputation for longevity and a proper diesel powertrain. With 4x4 available, this is the configuration we build most often for customers heading into the backcountry — gravel forest roads, desert two-tracks, ski-resort spring approaches, and beach overlooks where the AWD Transit and FWD ProMaster simply can't follow.
Configuration Options
144 is easier to park and gets ~10'3" of interior length. 170 adds about 3'6" of usable space and unlocks the deeper gear garage. Choose 170 for full-time travel; 144 for drivability.
Mercedes' purpose-built 4x4 maintains ground clearance and approach angles for real off-pavement use. ~$7K-$12K premium. About 60% of buyers are happier in 2WD.
High roof comes standard on every Sprinter Scout we build — gives full standing height inside the van and keeps the lift-friendly interior dimensions of the platform.
What's Included
Every Scout build includes a tested base specification — the structural and fitment work that makes the platform reliable. Systems (power, climate, water) and aesthetic finishes are configured per customer.
Pricing
From $68,000. Final pricing depends on configuration — wheelbase, powertrain, climate package, electrical capacity, and aesthetic finishes. Use our build calculator for a real estimate, or get in touch for a detailed quote.
