Scout × Ram ProMaster
Fixed rear bed and full gear garage on Ram ProMaster. Wider interior, simpler maintenance, FWD efficiency.
Why This Combination
The Scout layout built on Ram ProMaster wins on interior width. The ProMaster is roughly six inches wider inside than a Sprinter or Transit at the same height — that translates directly to a more spacious bed, deeper cabinetry, and a galley that actually feels like a kitchen rather than a passageway.
Customers who pick this combo are typically full-time travelers and couples prioritizing daily livability over off-pavement capability. The ProMaster is FWD-only, which limits backcountry access — but on pavement and gravel forest roads it's reliable, fuel-efficient, and the simplest of the three platforms to maintain. Lower sticker, lower running costs, more interior room.
Configuration Options
The ProMaster 159 gives ~10' of usable interior length. The 159 EXT (with longer body overhang) adds rear cargo without changing wheelbase — useful if you want a deeper gear garage.
FWD only on the ProMaster. The 3.6L gas V6 is reliable and well-supported by every Ram dealer in the country. Snow capability is decent with proper tires; serious off-pavement is a Sprinter or Transit job.
High roof comes standard on every ProMaster Scout we build. Full standing height inside the van plus the platform's signature wider interior dimensions.
