Mercedes Sprinter 170 AWD — custom mid-partition campervan build, $260,000 all-in.
Build Overview
Frankenvan came to us with a clear thesis: build something that looks like a yacht's interior dropped into a Sprinter. The defining move is a custom mid partition that divides the cabin into two distinct zones — front for living, rear for sleeping — with a navy and pine material palette that reads "premium boat-life" the moment the door opens. The brown leather pulls, white quartz galley, and gray subway tile backsplash were all chosen to hold up the metaphor.
Tour the Build
Patrick from New Jersey Outdoor Adventures walks through every system — the mid partition, navy cabinetry, white quartz galley, pine ceiling, and the design decisions behind a $260K Full Custom Sprinter.

Why This Was a Full Custom
Frankenvan is what a Sprinter 170 AWD looks like when the customer prioritizes living-zone clarity over open-plan flow. The mid partition was the requirement, not the compromise — they wanted a cabin that read as two rooms instead of one, and they wanted both rooms to feel like the inside of a 50-foot yacht. Every material decision served that thesis: navy paint over brown leather over pine over white quartz, layered the way a custom boat-builder layers them. The off-road AWD capability and the gear-garage rear are the practical infrastructure underneath the aesthetic.
